Rod Menzel
Rod was born in Victoria, but became a country boy in his early years in Queensland. Back to Victoria and Monash University, then 2 years in National Service quickly followed by a career of some 30+ years in Information Technology. Rod and his wife Zan moved to Gloucester in 2003 and he joined Rotary later that year.

Ashleigh Hickman


Ashleigh has lived in Gloucester for over 40 years. Moving from Sydney, Coogee after she was married. She is a Registered Nurse/Midwife and worked at Gloucester Soldiers Memorial Hospital for 32 years before taking a sea change and moving to Bourke 2002 where her position was Deputy Health Service Manager.

After returning from Bourke in 2005 Ashleigh worked back at Gloucester and then decided to retire. She joined Gloucester Rotary Club in March 2001 and was a member of the Bourke Club during her stay. On her return she was welcomed back to the Gloucester Club.

She is a very busy lady. Serving on a number of committee’s within the town outside of Rotary. June 2009 she became the President of the Gloucester Rotary Club, now immediate past President she is the Director for Community Services.

Ashleigh loves to exercise and walks regularly, attends aqua aerobic. She loves dining out and traveling the world. Gardening, reading and watching TV.

Her 2 sons are very grown up. 4 grandchildren have arrived over the past 12 years. She enjoys being independent.
