Mike McClellan was our special guest at one of our Fellowship Night Meeting. He’s universally known as The Song and Danceman after the title of his biggest hit which was voted song of the year by the Australian Music industry in 1974.

We were very privileged to be able to hear Mike played a few of his favourite songs. The one that really pulled my heart strings was this song, “A Hand To Hold”.
Mike dedicated this song to his dear friend who lost the battle of cancer. Our Club also had recently lost a very value member, Don McLeod to an invasive illness. Don was an active Rotarian, a mentor, and most of all, a friend. He will be greatly missed by all of us at the club.
As I sat there listening to this song, I looked around the room and I feel blessed to be surrounded not just by Rotary members, but by Rotary friends. We come together every week at the club, not only to plan projects that give back to the community and the world, but also to catch up with friends. We have fun at the meetings and we also look out for each other. The Chorus to this song says it all.
